Third day of Scentmas

Welcome to the third day of Scentmas!

I hope you are enjoying these little blogs capturing the scents and smells of Christmas, would be lovely to here some comments back from everyone!

So far we have looked at Bergamot Orange and Cinnamon and so the third day of Scentmas brings us onto look at pine!

Yes pine, the refreshing, clean smell most commonly associated with the aroma of a real pine tree sitting in the lounge with presents swarmed around it.

Interestingly the smell of pine trees have been found to be able to limit climate change. The strong, powerful smell of pine trees in a forest can cause a cooling effect by reflecting sunlight back into space. More on this can be found here (accessed: 3/12/2014).

Come back tomorrow where we will be revealing the fourth scent of Scentmas!living-pine-tree-537x357
